MCDA Advocates for Child Protection and GBV Prevention at the Ikubi Lya Loongo Ceremony

Mumbwa Child Development Agency (MCDA), under the Lusumpuko Women & Girls Project, was honoured to participate in the annual Ikubi Lya Loongo Traditional Ceremony in Mumbwa.
Utilizing this key cultural gathering, our team engaged community members on:
  1. -Child Protection & Ending Child Marriage
  2. -Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence (GBV)
  3. -Mental Health and Psychosocial Support
Cultural gatherings provide an indispensable platform that brings our community together to protect our culture and build positive change in our community. MCDA remains committed to working alongside traditional leadership, local authorities, and community members to promote a safe, equitable, and empowered environment for all children, girls, and women in Mumbwa.
