Strengthening Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning!
The Women and Girls Fund (WGF) recently held Grantee Introductory M&E Workshops in Malawi and Zambia with first-cohort grantees. The workshop was designed to equip grantees with the skills and tools needed to monitor, evaluate, and learn from their programmes ensuring stronger accountability, evidence-based advocacy, and greater impact.
Workshop Objectives:
- Introduce grantees to the WGF grant programme and the purpose of MEL in advocacy work
- Build understanding of the MEL Framework and Theory of Change
- Clarify grantee MEL responsibilities — reporting requirements, data collection, reflection sessions, and use of standard tools
- Strengthen capacity in data quality, learning, and adaptive management

The interactive session featured presentations, Q&A, and practical tools such as quarterly reporting templates and success story guides.
We celebrate the active engagement of grantees and look forward to seeing these skills drive learning, accountability, and meaningful change.
